Tim,
I have enjoyed reading through a good part of your web site. I did find much of what you pointed out to be most informative for people of all ages. Having served as a scoutmaster for a few years myself, I can relate. Tim, I do not know what state of mind you are in right at this time. However, I would like to give you an idea as if we were just two scoutmasters out camping and talking one to one. I do not want to go into any grate detail here with this posted comment. However, I did want to say that I had an opportunity of working with some displaced people after Katrina. I feel you need one more chapter or book. I have no idea what you would name it, then may be “WHAT IF YOU HAD TO CAMP, WOULD YOU BE READY” or something like that. We both know we have many groups that help people after any kind of disaster. Well Tim, I do not know what I am trying to say here buddy, just that if you had to mix a bit of camping skills with some survival skills in your own back yard after any kind of big disaster. I also feel you have touched on many ideas on your website. Nevertheless, putting together a one stop plan for any one person or neighborhood watch out-group to use. A collection of tools, skills, and tips one could use to help them self or others in times of disaster.

Thanks Harold for your comments and thoughts. I think there is the genesis of an idea that would help anyone prepare for a disaster. Please send me an e-mail and we can discuss this further.
