Hi CampingGuy, Yes sealing tent seams is an essential part of preparation before one goes camping. One cannot overstate this integral part of preparation!
We were camping during a freak storm - it downpoured for 3 days solid. Our tents did not leak and they stood up to the howling winds. We were 8 people (including an infant) and occupied ourselves with incamp games etc. At the end of the third day we decided to bail camp - pack up and go home! We were the last campers to leave the camp grounds.
